Who this is for

Start with your practice.

For private speech-language pathology practice owners and teams serving adults, children, or both. Bring your care settings, services, payer mix, and software. School and facility arrangements need separate review.

Responsibilities to agree

Define the work and its owner.

Authorization requests and renewals

Separate submitting requests, tracking responses, watching expiration dates, and initiating renewals. Identify what needs clinical input and who alerts the scheduler. Confirm which administrative tasks Bomi could perform.

Visit counts and scheduling questions

Document where your team records applicable visit or unit allowances and completed visits. Agree on who maintains that information and investigates discrepancies; do not assume a scheduling system and payer record are interchangeable.

Evaluation-to-treatment handoffs

Identify where evaluations, treatment information, and payer-requested documents are stored. Define how billing questions reach the clinician and how the team records readiness for submission. Requirements must be checked for the applicable payer.

Follow-up, balances, and practice fit

Review unpaid claims, missing-information requests, and patient or family questions. Confirm the supported care settings and software, responsibility for payment posting and balance review, and any separate work on older claims.

These are scope decisions, not a list of services automatically included. Before work begins, confirm supported tasks and systems, exclusions, pricing, any separate cleanup fees, and reporting expectations in your agreement.

Prepare for a useful decision.

Use the specialty worksheet to record your current process, open questions, and priorities. The first call identifies what can be assessed now and what needs a closer review; it is not a claim audit or a promise of reimbursement.

Good questions

Before we talk.

A few things to know about billing support for speech-language pathology practices.

Who would handle authorization requests, tracking, and renewals?

Those are separate responsibilities to confirm. Bring your current process so the proposal can identify what stays with your team, what requires clinician input, and which administrative tasks Bomi can support.

Can adult and pediatric private practices book?

Yes. Both can discuss their workflow. Bring your services, settings, payers, and software for review. School and facility arrangements require separate consideration.

Can you work in our speech therapy software?

George reviews your system and the access required for the proposed work. Compatibility must be confirmed before an agreement. Clinical documentation and treatment decisions remain with your clinicians.

What does billing support cost?

Pricing depends on the agreed service scope and practice workflow. George will review your needs and provide clear terms before you decide.

Who is behind this service?

SLP Billing Services is a specialty-focused site from Bomi Health. Your consultation is with George at Bomi. Service availability and scope are confirmed individually.
